Take I-40 to Exit 113; Connelly Springs & Rutherford College. Coming from  the East turn right, from the West turn left off the ramp. Go approximately 1/2 mile (across the Jimmy Huffman bridge) to the first stoplight. Turn right onto U.S. Highway 70 East. The new town hall is about 1.5 miles on the right.

The rate of 5 cents per $100 tax valuation is the lowest of all towns in Burke Co. and lowest allowed by the state of NC. For example, $100,000 house the tax is only $50 per year and a $250,000 house is $125 per year. The tax rate has not been raised since the town was reincorporated in 1989.

The Town of Connelly Springs has an area of approximately 4.5 square miles and according to the latest estimates (2020), is home to 1,542 residents. However, in the area covered by the Connelly Springs postal code (28612) there are approximately 4,865 households or 12,324 people. The entire postal area covers 90 square miles and contains 14% of the population of Burke County.

The Town provides garbage pickup to all residents. The town also provides water and sewer to a core group of customers and is continually evaluating the process for extending these services to additional areas. We are also in the process of paving and maintaining several streets in town.

Yes! The fully equipped community room can accommodate parties, receptions, family reunions, and just about any other celebration imaginable. It is available by reservation with a deposit, on a first-come first-serve basis 7 days a week. The picnic facilities are also available for get-togethers. Call 828-879-2321 for reservations and info. *Event insurance may be required in some cases.*

Town Hall is open Monday thru Friday from 9 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 5 pm.
